Role Overview

The Nanofabrication Engineer will be at the forefront of developing and optimizing nanofabrication processes for the NanoLoom chip. This individual will focus on creating nanoscale structures that enable the precise organization of DNA molecules within the microfluidic flow cell, ensuring high throughput and reliability for single-molecule imaging.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute nanofabrication processes for creating high-precision nanoscale structures.
• Operate and maintain nanofabrication tools such as e-beam lithography, photolithography, and etching systems.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate nanostructures into microfluidic devices.
• Troubleshoot and optimize fabrication processes to improve yield and reliability.
• Document and standardize protocols to enable scalability and reproducibility of the NanoLoom chip production.

Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD in Nanotechnology, Materials Science, Physics, or a related discipline.
• Extensive hands-on experience with nanofabrication tools and techniques.
• Knowledge of microfluidics and nanoscale biological interfaces is highly desirable.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
